About You

  • You have a relevant Human Resource Management degree. 
  • You have worked as a HR Generalist in Australia for at least 5 years. 
  • You may be an experienced manager, or you may be seeking an opportunity that will support your career development in HR Management.  
  • You have experience working in the Not-for-profit sector.
  • You have an excellent understanding of employment legislation, industry HR compliance and best practice. 
  • You pride yourself on your dedication and motivation to developing and delivering quality HR services for the success of the organisation.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead Hope Street’s People and Culture Strategy to ensure our workforce is diverse, engaged and empowered. You will provide strategic advice on all areas of Human Resource Management and work in partnership with the leadership team to deliver on the People and Culture Strategy and all other people initiatives. Your direction and support to the People and Culture Administrator will ensure the smooth running of operational HR processes. 

 

Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Work with the CEO and the executive leadership team to achieve the strategic direction of the organisation 
  • Lead and pro-actively identify, develop and implement people management; development; a successful workplace culture; recruitment and retention strategies; and best practice 
  •  Lead the implementation, monitoring and review of Hope Street’s Workforce Capacity Development Strategy 
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain industry leading HR and People and Culture systems, software, policies and procedures, and practices. 
  •  Lead continuedimprovement and embed a solution focused culture of quality improvement and responsiveness, with a ‘can do’ approach.
